Did You Pass or Fail JAMB/UTME?

Well, this thread is meant for all those seeking university admission. It doesn't matter whether you fail or pass jamb. According to a popular newspaper, over 2million candidates who were successful in the last UTME exam wont secure admission this year. You see, this has nothing to do with you passing or failing Jamb.
What then do you need to do to secure a university admission?

Well, this is a very important question.
For those who have reasonable score in JAMB well, kudos to you and for those who doesn't, do not give up hope. You all will gain admission to that school of your choice, you will study the course of your dreams and you will graduate in flying colours and get a good job. But, all this comes with a price. And what is it? You must always prepare for alternative. We strongly advise you all to consider registering for A'level. This will give you an edge over those relying on just UTME. A'levels gives you multiple admission opportunities and it has a high rate of success as compared to JAMB/UTME. The fees are very much affordable.
All you have to do is think deeply about it and make more findings @ www.bestoptionedu.com.ng or can or WhatsApp 08095777947

Top 5 reasons to study information technology

Are you still looking at study options? Choosing a career path can be stressful and overwhelming. To find what your perfect career choice would be you should evaluate yourself and determined what you truly enjoy doing.
We’re in the 21st century and today everything’s about technology. It’s seen in almost every aspect of modern life. If you enjoy technology and specifically keeping up with the latest advances in the field of information technology, you might want to turn your hobby into a career. In today’s society, information is paramount and information technology (IT) influences all kinds of human activity. Benefits of technology include increased productivity in many work-related and personal tasks.

Information technology jobs fall within the full spectrum of computer technology and business. As an IT professional, you’ll be supporting your clients in reaching their goals and nurturing their corporate culture. Business rely on information technology to help them be more productive. This is a career that benefits any business by allowing companies to work more efficiently and to maximize productivity. And with that comes faster communication, electronic storage and the protection of important documentation.

Five reasons why you should do an information technology course
1.Variety of career choices
Information technology is incredibly diverse and it’s not just about fixing computers or laptops. This course will allow you to take your career in a number of different directions. Careers vary from a technical writer, web developer, information technology director, chief technology officer and so much more. IT graduates will also be prepared to specialize in far wider areas of interest. The job market in computing and information technology is growing. These jobs require skill, training and a logical thinking process. Many of these careers are demanding and stressful but most offer a hefty financial reward.
2.You can see what you’re studying
The biggest part of studying information technology is practical. Doing an information technology course, you won’t just learn the theoretical part but also get the opportunity to make things. With that, you can change or adjust things and implement what you’ve learned. Knowledge is important to any career field. It’s sometimes better to see what you’re learning by actually doing it. That way you’ll remember things quicker and longer and become successful in your field.
3.Flexible work style
When you’re looking for a job, your personal preferences count. If you prefer working on your own, there are jobs out there in information technology allowing you to do so. You’ll be able to work according to your own schedules. Being flexible will also lead to better teamwork. For instance, when you have a doctor’s appointment you’ll have enough time to attend it. You’ll also be a more happy and satisfied employee as you’ll feel empowered through being able to structure your work and personal life according to your needs. The opportunity to work for yourself might also present itself. Many information technology professionals have a full-time position at an established company while also running their own business after hours. By doing that you’ll grow your skills faster as you’ll be doing more than the usual amount of work.
4.You’ll earn good money
Your choice to pursue a career in information technology is influenced by a number of factors. But without a doubt, one of the most positive factors is the amount of money you’ll make. Working yourself up the ladder can enable you to earn great money. Bear in mind, as a recent graduate only setting your foot in the door now, you won’t earn as much as someone with years in the industry. However, you can expect some pretty high salaries in your future, especially if you’re specializing in a research area or programming language.
5.Always in demand
As mentioned earlier, there are many careers to follow when specializing in information technology. As technology progresses the need for information technology professionals will only increase. And the better your skill set the more in demand your expertise will be.  With jobs being so scarce, the information technology industry continues to show a promising demand trend. Majoring in information technology will expose you to a lot of opportunities and jobs. It doesn’t matter in which field of information technology you’re specializing in, there are jobs in this industry.
Studying something you love will give you a sense of achievement. You’ll have a new way of doing things. If you’re really fascinated by the technology world, why not take it a step further? Your future starts now. And passing this course is one of the most important milestones in your life, it’s the key to finding your dream job. And what better way to turning a pastime into a full-time career.

Luckily for you, we've listed our top 6 best education apps available on app stores today to help you stay on top of your workload. They cover everything from organizational apps, to quiz apps. All the apps we’ve chosen are free to download and can be downloaded from any major app store.

1. Microsoft Office Lens

This is one of the top apps for students who want to save time and avoid the hassle of writing down lecture notes. Simply take a picture of the whiteboard or documents required and Office Lens turn the pictures into images, PDF, Word or PowerPoint. Whatever you need. Images can be edited, and all notes can be kept organized. Here’s a preview of how it works on Android.

2. GoConqr

GoConqr is super user-friendly and lets users create flashcards, mind maps, slides, and flowcharts. Users can also make quizzes or use preexisting quizzes stored on the app by other members. It doesn’t make learning feel like a chore, and that alone is enough of a reason to download it.

5. RefME

This is one of the college apps that truly is a lifesaver for essay writing. Trust us. It can scan any book's barcode and from that, it generates a citation. Citations can be formatted in MLA, Harvard, Chicago or whatever format is required in your school. Grueling referencing can be forgotten. It's easy to use and you don't have to worry about getting the referencing order correct. It's ideal after a long day or night of essay writing when all you want to do is finish.

6. Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Yes, everything has spellcheck now but having a dictionary on your phone is less about spelling and more about helping you to learn more about the English language. The Merriam-Webster app is a dictionary and thesaurus. It can send you a word of the day and offers a whole bunch of fun vocabulary games. Perfect for building on your existing vocabulary range and helping you to improve.

Conclusion

Getting app savvy and knowing how to use them is all part of the learning process. Our top picks have been chosen for ease of use and of course, for the benefits they offer students. They can help make education easier and cut some time off revision or essay formatting. It's also good to get into the habit of using apps to keep organized and to manage a good study routine. Using flashcards, quizzes and mind maps are all beneficial to memory and if used correctly have the potential to improve marks through clever studying. Whatever you use your apps for we hope you find this list useful.
