THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT YOUR  ADMISSION STATUS ON YOUR CAPS

Following questions we have received from candidates concerning the meaning of some terms like "NOT ADMITTED", "ADMISSION IN PROGRESS" etc they see on their CAPS portal, we would like to explain some few things concerning that.

Though JAMB has not made any official remark on this recently, however, we can deduce the possible meaning of these terms from what was said during the CAPS sensitization programme earlier this year.

If your Admission Status on the CAPS Portal reads "NOT ADMITTED", it could be that your school of choice is yet to send the proposed the list of admitted candidates to JAMB. However if your school of choice has released its admission list and your admission status on CAPS Portal still shows "NOT ADMITTED" then it simply means that you have not been considered for admission in that school.

For those that their Admission Status reads "RECOMMENDED", the possible meaning to that is though your school of choice has considered you for admission, JAMB is still reviewing your admission to ensure it complies with all the necessary criteria put in place by your school of choice and JAMB.

On the other hand, if you see "ADMISSION IN PROGRESS....." it is likely that you have met the requirements to be admitted in your school of choice but not yet considered for admission due to issues like admission quota, ELDS, Male to female ratio etc. This means you may have a chance of being admitted if some other candidates that were offered admission in the school decide to reject the admission.

So if you are yet to be admitted, the best you can do is keep checking back on the portal and hope your admission status changes.

For those who have been admitted, congratulations! Please go ahead to accept your admission unless you no longer want the admission; in that case, you can reject it.

Finally, for those that say they were unable to see anything when they log on to their CAPS portal through their JAMB Profiles, please try using a computer system or change your browser.

Learn To Invest In Yourself

Life in this world could be hard. We sometimes see graduates with considerably high scores still jobless. Could it be because of a wrong step? What can one do in order to be more successful in life? What is the meaning of self investment? Read this post

Know your purpose

Your purpose in life is what you’re in the earth to do. It’s what you can do to improve your life and the lives around you. Your purpose is what you can do tirelessly. It’s like a passion. Finding your purpose is the first step to be successful

It's time for self investment

This draws us to the title of this post: self investment. If you see a beautiful girl you think would win Miss world, you’ll invest in her. If you see a talent in a young boy, you’ll invest in him. Therefore, when you’ve been able to find your purpose, don’t hesitate to invest in yourself. How can someone invest in himself/herself?

Never be shy

It’s your life we’re talking about here. When it comes to certain issues, been shy (therefore limiting your actions) would draw you behind. Never ever be afraid to show the world who you are. Been famous for the good you do is among the countless rewards you get for following your purpose.

Set priorities

Knowing what to do and when to do it is another great thing that could ever happen to you. Even if your purpose shouldn’t be taken lightly, this post: ‘the little things in life‘ explains why you shouldn’t get carried away by it. Remember no tree can make a forest and no man can make a crowd.

Start

The only reason to stop you from starting to pursue your dream is when your resources aren’t complete ‘yet’. So long as you’re still saving, well-done. Note that the word ‘age’ is just a number. Someone might be 15 but have the experience of 25 years people. Never ever let age limit you from starting something. The world’s youngest sailor is a ’16’ year old girl who has traveled all over the world

Endure

Endurance is a gift. Without it you won’t be able to achieve anything. Observe and wait for your positive results. Everything in life don’t come immediately.

Seek advise

Never rely on your own understanding. Make research about what you’re doing. If you’re lucky enough to have some successful people around you, humbly ask for their say

JAMB Results For July 1st - Why The Delay?

It is almost 2 weeks now that JAMB conducted the supplementary examination. Up till now, the results of candidates who participated in the examination are yet to be released

Just like any concerned person, we do not know the reason for this delay and JAMB has kept quiet on that till this moment.

When you think of the fact that the results of the main examination which had more candidates for each day did not take this long to be released (except in cases JAMB had to withhold some results due to irregularities), you can't help but wonder what could possibly be the reason for this delay.

For candidates who participated in the exam, we understand how frustrating this can be especially as some schools have started announcing their admission screening exercise.

However, the best you all can do now is to still be patient and trust that JAMB has a good reason for delaying the results till now.

Nevertheless, we are using this medium to make a strong appeal to JAMB to do the needful. Whatever is the reason for this delay should be resolved as soon as possible so that concerned candidates will know their fate and know what next move to make.

WAEC 2017 May/June Result To Be Released Next Week

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has dosclosed that it will release the results of the May/June 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results by next week Wednesday.

This was disclosed in a tweet by the council via its Twitter account @waecnigeria.

The tweet reads: “The results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2017 will be released by the Council, on or before Wednesday next week.”

It will be recalled that the Head of National Office (HNO), WAEC in Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun, said in May that the waiting days for results to be released will now be 60 days as against 90 days.
