JAMB 2019 UTME Sales of Form Ends; Says Registration Continues Until Further Notice

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has said that the sales of forms and e-PIN for the 2019 UTME has closed. However, registration for candidates who already have purchased the e-PIN continues until further Notice. This was disclosed by the JAMB’s head of media, Dr fabian Benjamin.
According to him, JAMB would avail candidates who earlier bought e-pins for the exams but were unable to register before to register now.
He said the board cannot say the exact number of candidates that have registered for the 2019 UTME as the portal for registration is still open and registration is still going on.
Concerning the new date for the Mock examination and the possible new date for the main exam if it happens to be postponed as a result of the election, Benjamin said that the board was yet to decide on a new date but would give updates as soon as possible.

UTME Candidates With Biometric Issues Will Take the Exam In Abuja – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has stated that 2019 UTME candidates with Biometric issues during the registration will have to write the examination only in Abuja. The board also said it will be responsible for the cost of transportation of the candidates to and from Abuja. This was contained in the weekly bulletin of the Board.
JAMB said it decided to introduce this measure after it discovered that many candidates use the biometric issue as an excuse to cheat.
Recall that the board had earlier stated that any candidate with biometric issues must report at its office in Abuja to resolve the issues and write the examination.
It was gathered that out of the 52 candidates that were refered to Abuja due to biometric issues from the various states, only 22 of them actually showed up in Abuja for registration despite the fact that the board would be responsible for transportation.
JAMB equally stated that it would not reschedule examination for any candidate on account of a biometric challenge.
This year, sales of form for all candidates (UTME /DE) including for those outside Nigeria, started from January 10 and ended February 21.
