"Shaku Shaku, "Science Students" Appear In UNIBEN Semester Exam Questions
It is gradually becoming a common thing for lecturers to use what ever is trending to ask students questions during exams.
A UNIBEN lecturer has decided to join the trend.

A screen shot of exam questions paper meant for the 200 Level students of department of English and Literature in University of Benin shared online by a UNIBEN students had "shaku shaku", "science student", and "I like your waist in particular" in one of the questions.

The question reads; "Explain "shaku shaku," science students, and "I like your waist in particular" as products of a society that is highly influenced by popular culture and dance."

The question carries 10 marks and was given to second-year students of the department.



According to the student who shared the screen shot, there were more weird questions in the exam apart from the one mentioned.

UNIABUJA Part-Time/Sandwich Degree Admission 2018/2019 Announced

The university will not be responsible for any wrong payment that does not comply with our guide lines.

This is to safe guard the University funds and protect students and applicants from cyber criminals. Insist on using your mobile phone number during e-payment in oder to get response direct from REMITA at the end of any successful transaction.

UNILAG Produces 245 First Class, Graduates First Set Of Students In Chinese Department

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has produced its first Chinese department graduates. This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Oluwatoyin Ogundipe on Wednesday at a press briefing ahead of the 49th Convocation Ceremony.
The department admitted the first set of students into the departyment in the 2013/2014 session hence, their completion of the programme in the 2016/2017 session makes them the first set of graduates in Chinese from a Nigerian university.
Commenting generally on the Convocation Ceremony, the Vice chancellor stated that a total of 12,638 graduating students would be awarded their degrees, diplomas and certificates. 53.9% of these number will be awarded either first degrees or Diplomas while 46.1% will be awarded postgraduate degrees.

In the first degree category, 245 are in the first class division, 1892 are in the Second Class Upper Division, and 2959 are in the Second Class Lower Division. 1227 had Third Class, 93 had pass degrees while 400 had degrees or diplomas that were not classified.

Matthew Jeffrey Jude of the Department of Biochemistry, Roy-Larinde Bosun Abbas of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and Babawale Oludare Emmanuel of the Department of Chemistry, all with a Commutative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.97 emerged the best graduating students.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for admission into the HND programmes should have the following qualifications:

National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.

Evidence of one year post - National Diploma (ND) cognate experience (i.e. Industrial Training)

Applicants with Pass Grade in the National Diploma (ND) will be required to have at least two years Post-National Diploma industrial experience.

Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest option) are required to have at least a Lower Credit grade at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:

Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

Agricultural Technology

Food Science Technology

Agricultural Engineering Technology

Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.

Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in either Mineral Resources Engineering, Mineral & Petroleum Resources Engineering or Mining Engineering Technology only.

Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.

Holders of ND Mass Communication will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.

Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes.

Candidates should have remedied their O Level deficiency before applying for the HND programme.

Candidates for the HND programmes with options should indicate the option they prefer in their Application Forms.

IT IS MANDATORY FOR HND FULL TIME APPLICANTS TO FILL THE JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS USED FOR THEIR ND PROGRAMMES. ONLY APPLICANTS WITH JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.
