JAMB Results For July 1st - Why The Delay?

It is almost 2 weeks now that JAMB conducted the supplementary examination. Up till now, the results of candidates who participated in the examination are yet to be released

Just like any concerned person, we do not know the reason for this delay and JAMB has kept quiet on that till this moment.

When you think of the fact that the results of the main examination which had more candidates for each day did not take this long to be released (except in cases JAMB had to withhold some results due to irregularities), you can't help but wonder what could possibly be the reason for this delay.

For candidates who participated in the exam, we understand how frustrating this can be especially as some schools have started announcing their admission screening exercise.

However, the best you all can do now is to still be patient and trust that JAMB has a good reason for delaying the results till now.

Nevertheless, we are using this medium to make a strong appeal to JAMB to do the needful. Whatever is the reason for this delay should be resolved as soon as possible so that concerned candidates will know their fate and know what next move to make.

WAEC 2017 May/June Result To Be Released Next Week

This was disclosed in a tweet by the council via its Twitter account @waecnigeria.

The tweet reads: “The results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2017 will be released by the Council, on or before Wednesday next week.”

It will be recalled that the Head of National Office (HNO), WAEC in Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun, said in May that the waiting days for results to be released will now be 60 days as against 90 days.

A report of the assessment issued by Professor C.F. Mafiana, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Commission showed that the Veterinary Medicine Programme scored 77.6 percent in the overall assessment to attain full accreditation status a remarkable improvement from its interim status level attained in 2013.
The NUC assessment report showed that the Veterinary Programme scored 92.2 per cent in academic content, 75.9 in staffing, 72.9 in physical facilities, 77.7 in library, 66.7 in funding and 50.0 per cent in employer’s rating to achieve the overall score of 77.6 per cent.
Full accreditation status of academic programmes in the Universities is valid for five years while interim accreditation lasts for two years after which the programmes will be re-visited, the report said.
It said any interim programme that failed accreditation after two visits will revert to denied accreditation status which will attract sanctions such as a ban on student admission into the programmes, non-recognition of certificates issued to students of such programmes after the ban on admission and the denial of a call-up into the National Youth Service Corps Scheme (NYSC) of the affected students.
