HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for admission into the HND programmes should have the following qualifications:

National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.

Evidence of one year post - National Diploma (ND) cognate experience (i.e. Industrial Training)

Applicants with Pass Grade in the National Diploma (ND) will be required to have at least two years Post-National Diploma industrial experience.

Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest option) are required to have at least a Lower Credit grade at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:

Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

Agricultural Technology

Food Science Technology

Agricultural Engineering Technology

Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.

Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in either Mineral Resources Engineering, Mineral & Petroleum Resources Engineering or Mining Engineering Technology only.

Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.

Holders of ND Mass Communication will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.

Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes.

Candidates should have remedied their O Level deficiency before applying for the HND programme.

Candidates for the HND programmes with options should indicate the option they prefer in their Application Forms.

IT IS MANDATORY FOR HND FULL TIME APPLICANTS TO FILL THE JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS USED FOR THEIR ND PROGRAMMES. ONLY APPLICANTS WITH JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

NOTE:
All applications attract a fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) exclusive of bank and other charges.
All payments for application should be made through ‘College Pay’ using your Debit Card, Master Card, or Prepaid Card.
All applications close on Tuesday, 31st July, 2018.
Applicants sitting for the 2018 November/December Ordinary Level Examinations are not eligible for admission.

KWASU Extends Deadline For Post-UTME Registration, 2018/2019 - See New Date

This is to inform the publiuc especially candiudates who would like to apply for the Post-UTME screening exercise of the Kwara State University (KWASU) for 2018/2019 Academic Session that the deadline for the Registration has been extended.
The deadline which was earlier stated to be May 2nd, 2018 has been extended to May 16th, 2018.
All candidates who are intersted in registreeing for the screening can proceed to do so on or before the new deadline.

Covenant University Post-UTME Screening 2018: Eligibility And Registration Details Out

This is to inform the general public that Covenant University has announced application for undergraduate admission, 2018/2019 Academic Session.
Prospective students of Covenant University are to obtain the JAMB forms, choose Covenant University and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Board as prescribed in the relevant advertisement for the 2018/2019 admission exercise.
Applicant Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that all admission materials are received by the designated application deadline. Neither the Admissions Office nor the Departments can assume the responsibility of informing the applicant about erroneous or missing materials.

All materials (original, photocopied, or electronic document) submitted in support of an application become a part of Covenant University application record and cannot be released to the student or a third party. If application materials are forged, falsified, or altered, the Admissions Office will notify all relevant officials. Submission of such materials will disqualify an applicant for admission.

Non-Refundable Application Fee

The application form fee is non-refundable.
The application form can be saved with a view of completion at a later date.
An application cannot be submitted if the application fee is not paid at the end of the form.
The application form fee for the 2018/2019 academic year is N5,000 (Five Thousand Naira Only).
Post-UTME Screening fee is N2,000 (Two thousand Naira only).
Transaction charges apply, N900 (Nine Hundred Naira Only) via card payment and N600 (Six Hundred Naira Only) for bank / over the counter transaction.
Statement of Purpose

A statement of purpose (not more than 500-word count) should be prepared and submitted online with the application. The personal statement should address your intellectual interests, academic and professional objectives, visions, and goals for life. Please review the academic programmes for details listed by specific undergraduate programmes.

Uploading of Credentials

The application would only be considered completed if you upload the following credentials:
Birth Certificate
Scanned 2018 JAMB result with your clearly visible passport photograph
WAEC or NECO Result (if available)
Letter of Sponsorship by Parents

Principal and Pastoral Reference Letters

Two official recommendations are required for your application to be completed. These recommendations must be from persons in positions to appraise your potential for undergraduate study at Covenant University. These persons should include the following: Spiritual Leader, Principal or any teacher from your school. Covenant University requires the use of the online recommendation system, which utilizes a secure system that will:

Automatically email your recommendation providers with instructions for online submission of the recommendation.
Allow applicants to track recommendations received or not received and follow up with recommenders who still need to submit their appraisals.
Expedite the processing of the recommendations, which will be included in the online application once submitted.
Automatically notify you when recommendations have been received.
How To Apply

Interested candidates seeking admission into Covenant University for the 2018/2019 academic session undergraduate programmes can apply by visiting admportal.covenantuniversity.edu.ng/undergraduate/

All candidates are required to pay the sum of Seven Thousand Naira Only (N7,000.00) which entails Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) for the form and Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) for post-UTME screening. The fee can be paid with CUSanwo which is the latest indigenous innovation for online payment of fees introduced by Covenant University. This platform will be used for processing the card payment for the 2018/2019 academic session.

Post-UTME Screening and Booking

There will be a Computer-based Post-UTME screening, which will take place at Covenant University, Canaan Land, Km. 10 Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State. The screening schedule would be accessible via the Screening Booking. Candidates will be notified via text messages.

MOUAU Students Stage Protest Over the Death Of A Student

The students of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), yesterday embarked on a peaceful protest over the death of a 400 Level Agricultural Economics Student known as Obinna Chiaha (SK).
It was learnt that Obinna was knocked down by a vehicle close to the school gate.
The protesting students demanded for the removal of the Chief Security Officer of the school and immediate construction of speed bumps along the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene Federal road that has claimed many lives.

Their protest attracted the attention of the Vice Chancellor of the university Prof.Francis O. Otunta who addressed the students and assured them of immediate plans to construct speed bumps on the road.

"Reduce Fees Or We Burn The School Down": NDU Students Threaten Management

Students of Niger Delta university (NDU) have threatened to burn down the school if the management of the university refuses to reduce the school fees.
It was gathered that the management of the university increased the school fees which attracted protest from the students.
With the new school fees non-indigene fresh students of the school will have to pay as much as N200,000 while returning studenyts will have to pay as much as N170,000 depending on the course of study.
At the moment, the management of the school has temporarily closed down the school and asked all students to vacate campus.

KWASU Post-UTME 2018: Eligibility And Registration Details Out

This is to invite all UTME/DE candidates in the under listed categories for the 2018/2019 Pre Admission Screening Registration into Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU):

1. Those whose choice of Institution (First or Second) is Kwara State University, Malete; and

2. Those interested in Admission into Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU) but have not made it their Choice. All candidates must have five (5) o’ level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates awaiting O’ level results can also apply but they will not be considered for admission until their results are available.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Candidates are required to pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira (N 5,000.00) only (i.e. Three Thousand Naira (N 3,000,00) as screening fees and Two Thousand Naira (N 2,000.00) as administrative charges.

-Fill in the Application form, by entering your details

-provide your Names

-provide your phone number

-provide your valid email address

-Under Academic Program, select Undergraduate (Regular)

-Under “Mode of Entry”, select UTME or DE as applicable to you

-Under “Mode of Study”, select Full Time

-Under “Centre” select KWASU

-Click Register

-On the next page, click save and proceed to payment

-On the “ PRE – ADMISSION SCREENING REGISTRATION FEE ” page, Check and keep the payment details generated and click “ Make Payment”

-On the “ CONFIRM PRE – ADMISSION SCREENING REGISTRATION FEE ”, click ““ Pay Now ””

-On the payment platform displayed, enter your card details and click the “Pay”

-Once your payment is successful, you will be automatically directed to your registration page where you can complete other stages.

After completing the registration stages, it is important to print your Registration form and Payment Receipt.

If you have successfully paid, and wish to continue your registration stages later, you should just login directly using the username and password sent to you via email and SMS, to access your registration portal.
In addition to all the requirements states above, all candidates must know that final admission into the University is based on meeting the University’s and the Academic Programme’s cut off points in UTME when they are set and also on the availability of spaces within the NUC approved admission quota for Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU).
